About Me

 

    Personal Achievements.


    Since obtaining my real estate license in 1984, I have been listing and selling residential, commercial, farm and vacant land properties in the areas of Uxbridge, Port Perry, Stouffville, Cannington, Sunderland and their surrounding communities. These communities are located north and northeast, within a 1 hour commute, of Toronto and the GTA (Greater Toronto Area). Rural Ontario towns such as these are the desired location for many who want a small town, or rural lifestyle, yet still be within an easy commuting drive to Toronto and other major cities.

    As mentioned, I have been a licensed Realtor since 1984. In 1986 I obtained my broker designation and became the office manager for a large local real estate brokerage. In the fall of 1988, I decided to open my own brokerage office. This office quickly grew to be one of the largest multi-office brokerages in our area. While owning this brokerage, I continued listing and selling property along with managing the office and doing all the in house training of salespeople. We were honoured to received numerous national and provincial performance awards for office production. In November 2000, a personal decision was made to easy my workload by closing the office.  This allowed me to concentrate on giving better and more personal service to my clientele.

    Before becoming a Realtor, I gained a lot of experience and knowledge from my ownership of, or working in several occupations. I was raised on a dairy farm and in the early 1980s was involved as part owner of a large dairy, cash crop and hog farm. I am also a mechanic, and for several years, owned and operated a small engine repair business. I was service manager in a large auto dealership and national sales manager for a large equipment manufacturing company. These occupations have given me a lot of experience and knowledge that I continue to use today in my real estate career.

    Having personally received numerous awards for high sales performance I believe I am well qualified to service the needs of all clients regardless of whether they are looking for a residence, farm, estate, commercial or vacant land property.

Personal Achievements

Here are a few personal achievements of mine since being in real estate sales.

    • Opened my own franchised real estate office in 1988 and successfully owned & managed this till 2000
    • While owning and managing my own franchised real estate office, twice we achieved a standing in the top 10 offices ( 5th & 8th ) in Canada for sales volume. This was achieved during a major recession in the industry.
    • I personally achieved number 31 standing in Ontario for sales volume with a national franchise.
    • Was recognized for being in the top 1% of agents in Canada for sales volume with a national franchise.
    • I have received special recognition for high sales volume numerous times over my years in real estate.
    • Obtained my Brokers License in 1986.

Following are a few of the many training courses I have taken.

    • I have completed and passed two 5 day management courses plus other various management seminars.
    • Several courses in property and contract law, some for licensing purposes.
    • completed property appraisal course.
    • completed a course on commercial real estate transactions.
    • obtained my mortgage consultants license after completing several weeks of course instruction.
    • I have taken many more and continue to expand my knowledge with further education that will assist me to give experienced and professional assistance to all my selling and buying clients.
